FAQS
Thank you for purchasing our jewelry.
Proper cleaning and handling of jewelry is a must, for your silver jewelry to retain its beauty and shine for a long time.
When worn daily, it may begin to lose its shine over time. The beauty of silver jewelry is taken away by the daily activities that we carry out to take care of ourselves. It is normal for silver jewelry to tarnish. Silver jewelry can be of excellent quality, but it is subject to time lags. Silver oxidizes, this chemical reaction takes place between the silver layer in contact with air and oxygen. Whether you wear your jewelry or not, silver jewelry will eventually tarnish. The jewelry may easily oxidize in contact with human skin and sweat.
Silver jewelry is delicate and needs to be treated with special care. In order to prevent damage and loss of shine, it is necessary to follow the maintenance and care tips.
If you notice signs of allergy on your skin (redness, rashes, ...) we advise you not to wear the jewelry anymore.
Always put on your jewelry after washing and after applying makeup. Cosmetic products and hair styling products (hairspray) can stain or even damage jewelry.
Spray perfume drops away from contact areas with your jewelry.
Always take off your jewelry before going to shower. Always take off your jewelry before going to bed. When working in the garden or when washing dishes, always take off your jewelry.
Do not wear jewelry while swimming in pools or the sea. Seawater is very damaging to jewelry. Sand and sun creams can also stain and even damage jewelry.
Take off jewelry during saunas and spas. Do not store jewelry in the heat or leave it in the sun.
When handling jewelry, always make sure that your hands are clean and well-dry.
In the evening before showering or bathing always take off your jewelry. Always take off your jewelry during activities where you sweat a lot.
If your skin is acidic- ph is low, the jewelry will darken faster.
Storage
Never store jewelry in the bathroom. Moisture and water damage jewelry. Do not store jewelry in drawers, shelves, or nightstands, as dust collects on it and it gets scratched when the drawer is opened. Store jewelry in its original packaging or in boxes intended for storing jewelry. Small plastic bags are also a good choice for storing jewelry. When you take your jewelry on a trip, you can store it in a small plastic bag.
A few more tips
Every piece of jewelry eventually loses its luster and gets dirty - if we take proper and conscientious care of it, this happens later, but it still happens.
So what about cleaning our gold and silver jewelry? We have prepared some tips for you.
You can prepare a very affordable and simple cleaner for your jewelry at home. All you need is a cup of warm water, a tablespoon of baking soda, a tablespoon of dishwashing detergent, and a tablespoon of salt. First, boil the water in a container and then add all the other listed ingredients. This will make a cleanser that you just put your jewelry in and leave in this mixture for 5-10 minutes. After removing the jewelry from the container, rinse it with cold water and dry it by placing it in a dry towel or cloth for a few minutes till perfectly dry.
You can also use a toothbrush to clean your jewelry, but be sure to choose one with the softest bristles. Clean the jewelry gently, using circular motions. You can also use a little toothpaste on both silver and gold. Then rub the jewelry with your fingers or a (soft!) toothbrush, and then rinse it well under lukewarm water. Then wipe and dry with a dry soft cloth. Never soak silver jewelry in water for more than a few minutes. Do not use heating elements for drying.
Do not use aggressive chemicals, harsh agents, rough fabrics, alcohol, or brushes to clean silver jewelry.
If your jewelry shows signs of damage, take it to a jeweler to have a professional determine if anything needs to be repaired. The jeweler will repair various scratches by machine polishing, and will also repair loose or otherwise damaged parts of your jewelry.
